Soon after the community moved to its present and permanent site, a group of women was formed to assist the sisters financially, as well as to share in the spiritual benefits of their life of prayer. Through many decades the women of the Carmelite Guild have sponsored benefits to help insure the continuation of contemplative Carmelite life in Cleveland. In addition to their many hours of planning and work, members also come together for Masses and a Day of Recollection each year. Membership is open to any interested woman able to commit herself and her time to Guild functions. Many beautiful and strong friendships have formed between the sisters and succeeding generations of Guild members, as mothers pass on this tradition of service and dedication to their daughters.
