We began our Carmelite journey more than 100 years ago in the Diocese of Cleveland in 1923. Since the beginning of our foundation, our community has been a beacon of prayer and peace for many people. Our sisters have passed on the legacy of providing an atmosphere of prayerful companioning to those who seek to share their pilgrimage of faith. So many people have invited us into their lives; we have been blessed to share their joys and sorrows. They have also supported our life and ministry of prayer and been benefactors throughout the years.
Since our present monastery was built in 1911, we have a variety of yearly maintenance projects, some of which are surprises that warrant immediate attention.
The monastery is surrounded by beautiful acreage: trees that are cathedral-like in their canopy and a wooded back yard that provides shelter to many of God’s creatures. Our many flower beds and vegetable gardens, which add to the beauty and serenity of our landscape, also demand our care and good stewardship.
We are a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt charitable organization, incorporated in the State of Ohio. Your tax-deductible gift will help us continue our life of prayer for all God’s people as Carmelite women in the Church. Please consider including us in your will or estate planning.
